Bud Drop

I transplanted my plants and started to harden them about a week ago. We had a heat wave after i planted them and they got a bit to much sun.

The last four days the plants have been doing great but half of thier buds dropped. As this is my first time growing in pots, hardenning, let alone growing chiili's other then jalapeno's. I am curious if this is normal.

thanks in advance.

To avoid making another thread on this, the above causes are for flower drop, I take it they're the same for unopened buds?

Temps are within the range, didn't notice if they started to drop before moving them back outside after a typhoon but almost all of them on a few different plants have dropped after a little over back outside for 12 hours.... It was night and there has been very little sun so far this morning, which they don't see morning sun anyways.... Doubt they're overwatered, the surface is dry and has been for days. Can't be lack of pollination, they haven't opened yet.... I doubt it is humidity as well, one of the plants at work has dropped a few today as well and the area inside I had them in during the storm doesn't keep humidity out.... Low light maybe? But there was a decent amount of growth over the 48 hours they were inside.... They haven't been fed in awhile other than a light Epsom salty spraying every few days that the plant at work doesn't get.... The plants are various sizes in various sized pots....
I have two buds opening and one looks like its gonna drop before it fully opens.... The only buds not affected so far seem to be very small ones....

have you checked the bottom of the pot for wet soil? just cuz the top is dry does not meant th bottom is not drenched. just an idea. give them food too!

The bottom is moist, I watered from the tray a day or two before moving them inside.... I water the top, and it attracts ants and gnats, so aside from miracle gro and random drops when spraying, ive been keeping the top dry....
