This is my first season growing and I'm curious if this is a bud. The plant is a Red Cherry Hot and is still quite small. They aren't supposed to get all that big, but it seems like it's a bit early for it to start producing given that it was planted late January.
Sure looks like one to me. A lot of plants will bud early like that. This early in the season you should pinch it off. It will go back to expending it's energy on growing bigger.
Thanks for the reply Patrick. I'll pinch it off. I have a few others that are doing the same thing as this one. They're the Red Cherry Hot's as well. Will have to start monitoring them a little more closely.
