Can Seeds Be Purchased From CARDI

I've been to their website and saw the seed packs.  I understand that they sell seeds to farmers in the Caribbean but do they sell to individuals worldwide?  I tried contacting the person listed (fshah@cardi.org) but gmail returns it as invalid.

I realize US Customs would probably need the permit from anyone trying to import but I'm curious if is even possible.  Anyone ever done this or even tried?

Thanks.  I'll keep looking from my end.  If you hear anything please post.

The only help I can think of is a PM to Juanito's as I know he's ordered seeds from them in the past,  but it seems he's had problems.

CARDI screwed me over this year. i ordered back in October 2017 and still haven't received seeds.
so who knows if they will ever get here.

Thanks NECM.  Kinda seems like I remember reading some of that thread.  I PM'd him so hopefully there will be an update.

I PM'd Juanito's and he says he has tried emailing like 8 different people with no answers.
I found some Trinidad Scorpion seeds at the chili pepper institute that they say the originals came from CARDI.  Might be as close as it gets for now.

yeah i don't think international seed orders are their priority.
With hurricanes wiping them out often i imagine seed availability is kinda wack.

They just don't run the business very well. it is not hard to reply to an email. it is not hard to set up some way to accept online payments.
so yea i just gave up on them

now a goal of mine is to effectively replace them, offering the same grade of high quality seed but with better business practices.

Juanitos, have you considered working with other hobbyist-level ppl who might be working with many plants of isolated single varieties, so you could provide larger-scale orders on certain varieties?

Ive got some Scorpions i grew this year from Juanitos seedlings but i would love some of the seeds used to grow those seedlings. I grew mine right next to a Scotch Brain...like really close. I got seeds from mine. Just trying to avoid a mystery plant next year.....AWESOME pepper but i aint paying $9 for a few seeds from NuMex.

Well I'm thankful I was able to get them from you when I did!

Good luck going forward with you search!
