i found this on my Jerusalem cherry plant. can someone identify this ?? and what should i do ? i have already cut this out and throw in the bin. in case there is more. what should i do ?

aphids ?? i already cut the plant down and dump it in the rubbish bin.
i have been leaving home when its still dark and back home in the dark these days so i did not notice them sooner. hope that plant is the only one infected.
how does it get infected like that ??

you mean its not an aphid ? scale insect.... can i use soap water as well?? or should i go for more fire power like some insecticide ??
how does a scale insect get to a plant?? ANTs????
