seeds Capsicum seedling sprouts 2 leaves, then stops

I bought a capsicum from the supermarket, and took out the seeds. I planted one, and it grew into a seedling. I waited one week, then one month, and still there were only 2 leaves! :( How to make it grow more leaves? i will post pics later.
 
How much light does it get? where are you growing it? what are you feeding it if at all, and with what are you watering it?

Pics will definitely help.
 
Could be many different reasons to that problem. Bad genetics, bad seed, damage prime root etc. It happens, sometimes it will start growing again, sometimes it grows extremely slow and sometimes it just dies. At least, that's my experience when that happens.
 
Ya, maybe try again. It sound like the growth tip was damaged but it could be bad genetics. You really don't know what you're getting from a supermarket pepper. If they are hybrids they won't grow the same as the pod they came from, and bad/unstable genetics can lead to all sorts of weird problems
