Pr0digal_son sent me some C.tovarii to try, which I thought was incredibly generous given how rare these things are.
This is my review. I have to say, it`s probably the least successful one I`ve done so far, as the flavor all but defeated my rudimentary skills in describing flavours. The flavour was certainly a good one, interesting too, but other than picking up an undercurrent of vanilla, I just don`t know what to describe the flavor as. The tiny pods are also quite hot, which was surprising to me.
My solution is that everyone on THP should grow this species next year and try it for themselves!!!
