Cayenne peppers still green??

I have a Cayenne Pepper plant that is about 1.5' - 2' tall with about 25-30 peppers on it and they have been green for at least 1.5 months maybe even two. How long do these things normally take to start turning red? I live in FL so our winters are, well, we really dont have a winter. Right now it is in a one gallon fabric pot.

I'd guess they'll be turning any time now. Mine take anywhere from 1 - 2 months to turn red -- then it's all at once, lol..

Funny you should ask this question, I asked the same one a couple of months ago. Yes, they turn red. I thought maybe I had an odd variety that didn't turn red. Give them a little more time. They're still hot when they're green, but better when they get red.

this is good to know. they had kept flowering and fruiting and even the earliest pepper still has not turned yet. patience patience patience!

I've grown cayennes for years and they take about two months. I was thinking it was the brutal summers but I figure now it's normal.
