Check Your Mailbox - Free Seeds From China!

Disclaimer: While I'm not a fan of of FOX News their report seemed the most informative.

To start I learned a new term, Brushing . That appears to be the reason for Mysterious Free Seeds From China .

It seems the deliveries are random and to states from coast to coast So the question is, were you lucky enough to receive a package? And the tougher question of, if you did,  what are you doing on China’s state-owned postal company mailing list?

I was "Brushed", or whatever the term is now, about 4 times last year. First one was a few pairs of "try-on-shoes-at-the-store" nylon-type ankle socks. The second, I can't remember.
The next two were definitely my type of things. In fact, we use one of them still every day. Tonie's bong. Straight up, a glass, 14mm water-pipe bong.

The next one was a hookah. Cheap, plastic, and never used.......but the right category.

Nothing since.

That's pretty much the end of the story. Hopefully...............

Yup the cold war is well at hand.
unlabeled seed packages spread about hoping people grow them and end up as food for their GMO carnivorous plants.

They are clearly marked as to point of origin---In Chinese of course!  As to what they are - No info.

USDA Tests Seeds

Mysterious China seeds received by Americans identified by USDA

The seeds of conspiracy were already planted.

Some of the mysterious seeds that dozens of Americans received in recent weeks have been identified by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, officials announced Wednesday.

The tested seeds, which came with Chinese labels but were not confirmed to be from China, are for herbs, vegetables and flowers.

USDA official Osama El-Lissy said the seeds included mint, sage, cabbage and roses, among other plants. El-Lissy said the USDA had only tested a sampling of seeds collected from surprised recipients.

Health departments in all 50 states have warned people not to plant the seeds, no matter how harmless the contents appear to be.

In an earlier announcement to water-down suspicions about the seeds, the USDA theorized that they were part of a “brushing scam,” where people receive unsolicited items from a seller who posts fake customer reviews.
