event Chili Cookoff: Time to defend my tiny trophies again...

I have decided to make two chilis this year. I am going with my tried and true recipe for the Best Overall category, and a white chili for the Creative Category.

Here are the pics of the Yankee Red. I am not going to bore you with the whole recipe, but it has ground beef, kielbasa, beef tender tips, a homemade chili powder, Yeungling Black and Tan, and three kinds of beans.

All wrapped up and ready to go.

Oh an it is blind, anonymous judging by the public, so no bribing is really possible.

They both look pretty awesome! Blind taste testing by everyone is the only way to go for those contests, unless you have really good judges.

I'm confused - you make chili, with sausage in it no less, and then you go to the trophy store & have those adorable little trophies made? And you do this every year?

Hmm. Interesting.

:doh:

Looking good JayT. You're probably already done by now but Good Luck anyway. I just found the original post for AJ's Red...think I'm gonna do that one for the local fundraiser chili contest in a couple weeks.

THP=stirring the pot~~~~ :lol:

I don't remember what hesaid about the red but the white has cannellini beans.

Scovie, you better getchoass into the MV chili contest! Stop flappin' them jaws and get some chiles in the pot! And since you can'tdecide whether beans or nobeans, you better do 2 pots!

OOOOOOoooooorrrrrr~~~~~~~ You can be a contest in the Spicy Chili Eating Contest!!!!! :D

option A, option B......HHHhhmmmmmmmmmmm....what will Scoive choose?

The results are in: White - second place in the most creative category.

Red - Best Overall for the second straight year!

On a side note, the trophies that were supposed to be delivered on Friday, did not make it in time for the event. As soon as I get it I will post it here.
