I'm actually an electrician but went to work for B&G foods as a Maint mech. where we make all sorts of sauces, pepper mash (hot chop) and pickles, If you look at the "Our Brands" drop down we do the Trappey's pepper sauces & sliced jalapenos, other brands as well. Emerils pasta sauces and salsa's, Ortega.
We are actually allowed to bring product home (take right off the line) as long as HR signs it.
I brought home a Gallon jug of Trappey's Red devil just for the jug. Sauce is Ehh. butt he just will be good for next years ferment. I imagine ill be able to bring home some empty woozy bottles sine we get them by the pallet load. I was watching the line today as they were filling a lousiana style sauce in bottles with the dropper cap, I thought they were stuck in the lid like the foil seal in alot of bottles but they have their own machine that snaps them on before the cap gets spun on then the heat sleave.
It's actually pretty cool to see first hand how this stuff is processed before headed to the stores.
