Chilliman`s GROW THREAD 09` - & Construction of my pollytunnels

GDAY ALL !
(sorry about big pictures - I will still trying to shrink )

Ok I thought it was about time I posted some pics of my chilli.
Nothing really special yet - But will post all progress !

Propergation (All super hots - EXCEPT - scotch bonnett and fatalli.) Will follow these on this thread !) I lost 2 trays also (150 sprouted seeds), after being outside the dogs got to it.

The light Box is a sealed box with introduced CO2. (useing yeast)
Another TWO of these stations are being setup now - will get photos when finished.

First green house and hot house

- Soon to BE 2 x 40M POLLYTUNNELS covering the back section of yard Every thing you see below

AS this is ONLY the BACK coner of the 1 acre block - I will have probably 4 or 5 polly tunnels by end of next year.

Yes - I am not fussed with Cross pollination on these plants as they all go onto MY table as sauces and dry spice !

I will how ever split up the tunnels !
 
Good idea with the Co2, i make "purified water" now so i will be able to connect the air-lock on my fermenter to introduce Co2 into my seed raising box that doesn't exist yet:P Thanks for the idea!

Thats a great yard you have there too, all the room you really need to grow THOUSANDS of plants.

I bought the place over christmas with the nursery in mind, Its a HUGE place ! And figure I could grow out back and sell in front as the front yard is as big !

I mowed by HAND ONCE ! - it took 4 tanks of fuel and six hrs before I gave up and called my mate with a ride on to finish it.

ALOT of BLOOD SWEAT and TEARS ! LOL and Love and Passion ! Wit little to NO social life :( as I am working outside or On the computer 24/7.
We have a bit of material here for tunnels, and when budgets allow will buy my skins !

Ill keep my head down bum up for awhile !

Cool pics, i was eyeing that greenhouse on ebay, how much sun gets through? I was concerned it might filter a bit too much light
 
Thats AXLE - he is my boy ! 52kg ridge back X Mastiff he has little sister too, no doubt she was at my feet. Similar breed just little smaller.

It was a cheapy, and great for a temp for me, untill my tunnels are up in next month or two !

As long you have it in FULL SUN should be fine.
I think it was about $160 delevered. Its MUCH bigger than you think !
 
yeah just about... just finished transplanting them today...

most of them are already 3ft tall..lol

should have a good season this year... i hope i just didnt speak to soon..lol

Sorta dream job! Worked my arse of in high stress environment for many years, So in a sense this is a VERY long term business/ retiremnt plan.:pray:

I can see my self as an old dude playing with my chillis, getting my fix.:drunk:
