Chinese 5-Color

I have some sprouts of these coming up. I was thinking of putting one in a 6" pot and putting it on my desk in my office. I did a search and came up with indoor suitability, but has anyone else here done something like that? The answer to the latter question did not come up in my search.

If so, is a 6" pot big enough for the plant to at least make some small fruits?

Thanks.

You can easily get some fruit but 6" pots will need to be watered often, especially when they get rootbound

I have kept a prik kee noo plant in my office for 2 years now in a 8" pot. It still produces like mad. It has smaller fruit than a 5 color but I would think it would work out well.

3hanks for the replies. Poatwie, how often is "often?" I would be fine with daily. More than once a day?

Theghostpepper, I'll keep that variety in mind if the chi-5 doesn't work out.

I get fruit on my chinese 5 color with a pot no bigger than a typical water bottle, so its possible, I found the best way to do this is cut a branch off and use bonsai wire to shape it while rooting it. If you do a striaght plant from seed in a small pot it will just get long and thin.

which is not what most people want on their desks
