Choc Bhut Jolokia pod

So here it is, my first decent Choc Bhut Jolokia pod

DSC01864.JPG

This is the 2nd pod I've harvested, the first was probably 1/3 of the size of this.

I thought about sending this one to Hippy, but I have another pod that is probably double the weight of this one that looks like it might ripen soon, and combine that with the 40C+ temperatures we are having, lets hope there's some suicidal amounts of capsaicin being produced ;)

Is that a cross someone made recently or a different variety from India? How does it taste? Is it super hot like the red ones? Do you have a picture of the inside? Does it have tons of placenta like the red ones?

I haven't tasted it, I popped this one in the freezer. After I plucked the stem off the pod, I could definitely sense the smell of a typical Bhut.

As far as I'm aware, its not a cross. These seeds came from www.chileseeds.co.uk, and I'm guessing they got them from Frontal Agritech in India who claim its a natural variant to the standard Bhut Jolokia
