chinense Chocolate Scorpions - Destined for the Smoker

Received this box of chocolate Scorpions from Dale at Baker's Peppers.  They are some of the finest, most consistent pods that I've ever seen - they're beautiful.  Sampled one of them - great flavor and way more than enough heat!  They have an appointment with the smoker this weekend - just not sure whether they will end up as flakes, powder, or sauce . . . hmmm - maybe a little of each.  Love the flavor of smoked chocolates!

DAAAAAYYYUUMM!  That is gorgeous.  Something about the chocolates gets me all antsy in my pantsy! Whatever you do, there must be pics!

maybe some smoked chocolate puree (Illini tailgating season is coming up and I'll need a good Bloody mix) . . . the rest a combo smoked chocolate/red scorpion flakes.

What temp and how long you smoke for. .... what woods you use?
I will keep the temperature around 180 (or below) and will most likely use a 75/25 combination of apple/cherry for 4-5 hours of consistent smoke.  take care.
