Queen City Sausage Festival

In our day-to-day dedication to old-world recipes and the long-standing traditions of the original "Porkopolis," we at Queen City Sausage are in ceaseless celebration of craft sausage. With every link we stuff, we revel in the history that makes it delicious, the artisan who brings it to life, and the hungry craft-sausage loyalist that has made Queen City Sausage a thriving Cincinnati icon. In a town that once was home to more than 40 sausage shops, Queen City stands proudly as the largest remaining link to Cincinnati's sausage narrative. It is only fitting, then, that we should gather. That all of us – from Elmer Hensler himself to our Queen City team to our family of customers – should come together in craft-sausage merriment. That we should flash back to the glory of Porkopolis. That we shall meet around the grill for super savoriness served just right… The Queen City Sausage Festival hits the Cincinnati summer scene July 12 13, and 14, 2013.
I'll be there after I do a tourney at the casino in Cincy. Anybody game for beer(s) and brats ?   woohoo !!!

It's so tempting to make sausage jokes... :)

Yeah, I noticed that. The morons that run Cincinnati squander the resources of the riverfront area. The "other side" of the river always has something going on and draws the people in. Hell, Look at Jerry Springer if he hadn't of visited the otherside of the river he wouldn't be where he is today. Heck he still might be a commentator on Webn and doing commercials for Tree Frog Beer  :drunk:  (the beer that gets you there faster ;) ). but I digress ...

A Festival that celebrates the "Queen City" Cincinnati and sausage can be great no matter where it's held and throw in some great local brew and life just went up a notch. After my tournament I'll be there with bells on. Maybe I can convince some local sausage cookers/fryers to let me put some peppers in the mix.
  Always a good time !
