cleaning up your photobucket album

folks are still posting IMG code from Photobucket and getting the image along with a URL code that shifts the picture to the right. For those that haven’t already discovered the Photobucket setting to fix it, here is how you can correct that without having to edit every post to remove the URL portion.

Sign into your Photobucket account, then click on View Library, then click on “Update Link Options” on the right side, and then in the list of options uncheck “Link back to albums” and then Save; that will get rid of that extra code in the IMG Code Link.

not sure if this goes here, but do see several that could use the advice

well it anoyed me more as the person posting before i learned this than it does as a reader, so i thought i would pass it on

Or don't use photobucket....

I like google+ quite a bit. Mostly because of the app on my phone that downloads all teh pics and videos automatically to the cloud whenever I have a wifi signal. I'm lazy like that. Google's coding works perfectly with the [img ] tags.

I still cant figure out how to put thee actual image in my posts without just posting a link to my photobucket..... i suk

on the right side of the photo you will see image code/links, copy the one that has for the forum, paste it here

or when posting above there will be 2 bar lines of codes, just under the smiley you will see a  picture, click on that, then paste the direct code from your photobucket

here is what your looking for in the code without the ***'s

Thanks for the instructions.

Photobucket and I don't play well together.  Patrick has helped me in the past.  I've tried Flickr also with no luck.  I'm a techno dinosaur
