Custom grow box

I have a grow box I made out of cardboard and lined with tin foil. My flouro lights sit over the plants and leave about 8" on either side for air flow.
I do not have any type of fan hitting my plants, is it essential? I do from time to time have to hit the soil with a water/baking soda mixture to kill white fungus on top of the soil from the moist soil with no fan driven air flow.
I was looking into getting a small computer fan, or two and maybe switching to a plastic tote box and have it more concealed. Have one fan blowing in and one out to keep a better air flow.

What does everyone think, anyone doing something similar? Or have done it?

I 'd like to see some picture if you can.. When I started out i did something similar, it was 2'x4'x4' - there was just enough space for a very small fan, even then I ran into all sorts of problems... I'd say air flow is very important of for no other reason than to strengthen the plants so they can deal with the weather outside. My biggest problem though was size -- I had no idea these plants could get so large - it wasn't long before I moved up to an actual grow tent... a 4'x4'x7' ... then within a couple months I outgrew that - then to a 8'x4'x7' tent... I outgrew that, lol ... now they're just chilling in the open, no tent, and have lots of room do do their business. When in tents I had similar issues with molds and mildews, but I haven't had that problem since moving out into a more open environment...

here's a couple picture of my first "grow room" -- http://i.imgur.com/tg8LDh.jpg http://i.imgur.com/wwt8nh.jpg oh.. how far I've come since then, lol
