Dark Rooms

LOL yeah the fan is cheap if you skip putting in the exhaust duct work lol.
 
If it's on an outside wall the best bet it to vent it outside, and use one of those light controlled (no light seeps in) vent fans that are sold at photo shops.
 
Need clarification. I see this is in the growing section. I thought you meant for photos. What's a dark room for plants? For fungi?
 
Even for dark rooms for photos, my above mentioned idea works well. I have done it and think I only spent $75 at the time. No light came in cause I put a couple of elbows in the vent tube. Piece of cake.
 
If you need a specific volume for ventilation, propeller fans won't do much pressure and ductwork, especially dryer ductwork, has high pressure drop. A propeller fan is not what you want unless there is free air on both sides of the fan.
