"NOTE: This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade wider than the other).
To reduce the risk of electrical shock, this plug will fit on a polarized outlet
only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it
still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this
safety feature."

EDIT: All to complicated, i'm buying one from amazon.de (germany) then i don't have all these problems :D
Thanks guys !!

While I do not have this exact model, I do have the Nesco FD-75PR which I purchased from Amazon (http://amzn.to/1a0gJ9P). It's a little more powerful than the one you are looking at, and I have had great success using it for homemade beef jerky and drying fruits and vegetables. The Nesco brand seems to be quite popular, so I think you are making a great choice.
