Diluted coffee to shock/jump start pepper plant??

Curious  ....fellow pepperheads, has anyone ever tried to use a diluted cup of coffee on your pepper plant to "jump start" the growth of the plant if it has seemed to stall, and/or used this trick to jump start/quicken the ripening time of fully developed peppers on the plant??

Nope, but I use coffee grounds for nitrogen.

I personally think it wouldn't have any effect at all.  Some varieties just take longer than others.  There have been studies on caffeine and plants and it seems that's what has been concluded from said studies.
