DIY heat mat

I thought I'd share with you my cobbled together DIY heat mat. I had the self adhesive element and aluminium plate knocking around from previous project. I bought the thermostat in the middle, I think it was 30 degrees Celsius, which when you take into account the heat distribution of the aluminium plate and the air gap inside the propagator, I would guess that would bring the seeds down to around 23, but I will measure it one day to see.

Initially I had it over our utility room sink (spare), but then thought I might as well use the bowl to free up the sink.

Awesome, been looking for a heat mat for a while. will probably just buy one though. This is pretty cool though
 
To be honest I wouldn't buy that heating element just for this heat mat as they cost £65 each just for the element, but as I had it laying around, not doing anything else I thought I might as well put it to use!
