POTAWIE Aug 3, 2007 #2 I wouldn't use too much but it is good for the soil and good for slug deterrent. You are talking about used coffee grounds?

P Plebian Aug 3, 2007 #4 I add used coffee grounds to my compost pile. It's a good nitrogen source and has a relatively neutral ph. Mixing it straight into the soil should be OK as long as it's not too thick.

imaguitargod Aug 4, 2007 #5 Coffee grounds make EXCELLENT composting material. But as a side dressing for plants, I'm not too sure if that's good.
