Do False Katydids (Phaneropterinae) Eat Pepper Plants?

I haven't seen them near my pepper plants, but it seems they do eat leaves. I saw one on my screen door a few weeks ago and killed it. I had never seen one before and thought it was a locust, which I'd also never seen before. I just found another one tonight on the wall by the back porch light and killed it. Then I looked up locust on Google and saw that it wasn't a locust. After searching for a bit, I found it was a false katydid (phaneropterinae), and that they do eat leaves, but couldn't find anything specific to pepper plants.

Anyone ever caught one of these things in the act of munching on a pepper plant?
