Do worm castings go bad?

I've had an open bag of castings going on a year. The bag has been rolled up, but, do castings lose anything over time?

I think they lose some of their potency but they don't go bad unless bacteria has been allowed to grow in them.

The only thing they lose is moisture and good luck getting them wet again if that happens.

I have a worm factory 360 that I started last year, I'm about to harvest the castings, what's the best way to store them until needed?

I put mine in a 5 gallon bucket in my dark, cool garage. I mist them every now and then so that they don't dry out.

I was thinking of going to my Home Depot they have a great snap on top for a five gallon pail with a screw top seal I have bought a few of these for dry storage and I'll mist them, my basement stays @ 65 degrees year long.

Sounds good but I would put some holes in the lid as you don't want the castings going anaerobic which they will if you put them in a sealed container.
