Does everyone know their zone? (2018 changes)

I have a mock orange shrub that kept it's leaves till Dec/Jan and even popped out 2 white flowers thinking it was spring. I've had it 10 years and it usually just lost it's leaves when the trees did. I also have some semi-evergreen stuff that acts evergreen. Can't complain about the yard, just the planet. :P

My zone never changes

I'm zone 3, regardless how they gerrymander those imaginary lines. I have a reasonable "last frost" date of +/- June first. I have the same but for "first frost of +/- September 1st. It has frosted here after June one and before Sept. one, it has also turned to intense summer-like spring in late March/early April and we've had gorgeous warm late summers that have pushed into November. Though rare, they have occurred.

Regardless, I have a reasonable expectation of a 3 month growing season.

I'm zone 3. This is the voice of experience you hear, not a bored bean counter at USDA....
