Does This look like a Pepper Plant?

I found this stick growing some leaves and noticed the leaves looked like pepper leaves, I just moved to my current home and im assuming it was from the owner of before, im not sure what it is or if it is a pepper plant, Does anyone know what it would be?

That looks like a pepper to me.

Nurture it this summer and see what happens. It could be a pepper, but there are also Nightshade species that look very similar to peppers, including berries that are pepper-like, except they are highly poisonous. It's worth the effort to see what it is, at least I think so. Keep us posted!

Will do, It would be too perfect if it produces any type of fruit/veggie

Yep, it does look like a pepper plant to me too. But yeah so do alot of members of the Solanaceae family. Like Hendrix1326 said, you dont want to go choking down some Nightshade. Like the Megadeth song of the same name, "My gardens so inviting and its deadly blooms are hiding/ becareful what you touch unless the grave is what you lust""

Real good song, Anyway, Let it grow out and see what it is, obviously it looks overwintered.
