drew1226's 2014 Pepper North GLOG

After reading through most of the GLOGS this year, I decided to start one of my own. This will be my 4th season growing super hots, and every year the # of plants seems to rise. Last year I had around 40 plants of 25 or so varieties. This season I am looking at closer to 80 plants of 40 varieties.

Seeing as how I am in Canada, I have to get an early jump on the season. I started my first batch of seeds in early January, second batch in early February, and the third and final this past weekend. My plant out isn't until mid to late May, and once spring rolls in I will be building some new raised beds to accommodate everyone.

I'm glad to see more and more people in the North to grow the hotties.

You sure like a lot of heat with that extensive list of supers :fireball:

Have you had some success growing rocotos in the last years? I read that they somewhat like a little colder climate :)

Good luck on your grow! Can't wait for pics

Hey Teurf, thanks for the reply!

This is my first try with the Rocoto, but last season I grew both Red and Yellow Manzano's with moderate success.

It's great to see another Canadian Glog, and one from Ontario no less. I'll be watching this one closely. Nice list of plants you have there. I'm growing about 2/3 of what you are growing, and I'm not sure I'll be able to handle them all.

love the Glog, and will definitely be following closely - I'm in ontario as well and have upped my grow this year too :) the plants are looking fantastic so far! good luck

I found last year with 40 plants wasn't too bad. I think I spent more time picking pods than anything else. My plan is to get most of them into raised beds to help cut down on the maintenance,
