Drying Beaver Dam, is it worth it?

I'm growing Beaver Dam for the first time and it's a great pepper. I'm asking if drying for powder, will it retain it's flavor characteristics?

The rule of thumb for me is to do it, try it and then decide. I have several powders that I prefer over the fresh pods.

beaver dam would be fine as its not very hot compared to some, it also has a touch of sweetness that would lend itself to a great paprika when ground fine enough

i never grew it myself but have a friend that grows it every year, its a good pepper
