Thanks guys! This year I tried to focus more on a balance of heat and flavor. Most of my full grow list I've tried or I have tried parents of the cross and enjoyed them. I made the mistake of going in blind last year and found that I ended up with some plants of peppers that I didn't particularly like. I tried a few SFRBs from different sources to take more of a "test drive" before I commit to growing out a plant of said variety.

Yea the Bonda Ma Jacques was a freebie from PepperLover. I actually got incredibly lucky this year with my freebies. It seemed like the majority of my freebies were varieties that I was interested in growing at some point but I was trying to keep my grow list under control and limit myself. The pepper gods thought otherwise haha. So I justified growing that out as divine intervention.

Sorry for the lack of updates. Had a pretty busy weekend prepping my fabric pots. I'm trying a few different mixes to see what works the best:

Mix 1
4 parts coir
5 parts Zoo Brew compost from Price Farms Organics
1 40 lb bag of composted cow manure
2 parts perlite

Mix 2
4 parts Pro-Mix HP
5 parts Zoo Brew compost from Price Farms Organics
1 40 lb bag of composted cow manure
1 part perlite

Mix 3
2 parts Pro-Mix HP
2 parts coir
5 parts Zoo Brew compost from Price Farms Organics
1 40 lb bag of composted cow manure
1 part perlite

Mix 4
I had dumped out/sifted/remixed six 15 gallon pots and two 10 gallon pots from last year - I noticed my mix from last year seemed too heavy on the drainage side
Added the remaining compost which was about eight 5 gallon buckets worth
Added 1 40 lb bag of composted cow manure

Pro-Mix HP (left) Coconut Coir (right)

Two with purple gloves are mix 1, the 11 in the back 3 rows that are slightly darker (including the one with the orange glove) are mix 3, the front row and the two to the left of the orange glove are mix 2

The 8 on the left are mix 2 and the 9 on the right are mix 4.

Three 20 gallon fabric pots for my overwinters (Choc. Naga-Brain, Red Rocoto and MOA Scotch Bonnett) - filled with mix 3
