I taste a sliver of a pod, evaluate how much to use and what to make and then cook with it.
#2 Extra virgin olive oil infused with mint & Sepia Serpent
I ate an 1/8 inch slice of a pod I got from coheed196. It had an extremely perfumey, floral aroma, and maintained a strong flavor similar to that throughout, lingering afterwards aswell. Quite hot and beautiful pods. Determined I should use 2 of them due to the heat level. My girlfriend decided to use mint to complement the floral notes. She made an infused olive oil with mint and serpent so I could spice up my gnocchi and leave our guests with the option.
These are the peppers I used... the top one and the bottom one. I gave the other to a friend to use for seeds and try out if he'd like.![](/proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fi859.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fab157%2Fjordanoberdorf%2FDSCN7261_zps2de33224.jpg&hash=cdd7224fa70d071251248b908f47ba7f)
This is the oil that was left after dinner and lunch today.

Pretty hot but very chilled out. The only thing is the perfuminess is very pervasive, it overpowers most other flavors and hangs around for a while. The heat level was right on though. I think I am going to try a lot of citrus with the next use to see if it dumbs down the undesirable flavors.
