Fatality Suace

A little while back I purchased Fatality from Great American Spice Company. This is one of Jim Campbell's sauces and since his sauces are known for being pretty hot I was looking forward to this one. The label shows a skull imposed into a fatalli pepper and sort of a "death certificate" written on the side. The aroma is well, quite peppery. There are also hints of garlic mixed in. The taste is that of fatalli, quite sharp, and a touch bitter which I kind of like. Heat starts in the throat and works its way to the lips and tongue. I have tried two sauces with fatalli before (Cajohns Talon and Scorch.) I would say this is a touch hotter than Talon but not quite as hot as Scorch. One aspect of fatalli heat is it doesn't really feel "warm" like naga sauces do but rather sharp, piercing, and almost cold in a way. That being said, I really like this product and do recommend it to hot sauce enthusiasts.

Verdict: Heat 7.7/12, Flavor 8.5/10
