Nice man they look great. I'm curious how that f2 taste and what's the heat like?   I'm at the point of lobster has lost it's luster..lol  I'm getting 10-13 every time I go out and have cut back to just hauling 1 or 2 times a week instead of everyday. Think I gave away over 2 dozen last week, to bad you don't live closer  :D

Hi Rick thanks for stopping by, I estimate about 2 weeks until I start having ripe pods here. I have a bunch of stuff I'm really looking forward to trying. Cheers

Cool! I'm hoping about the same but we'll see... we're supposed to get a few cool days before it warms up again. :)

It has been a strange season here again. We had a very cold and wet spring, now we are in a drought. The ground here is cracked from being so dry. We've been having really hot days and night temps in the low 50's, one morning last week it was 48°F when I woke up,brrrr.

Heh... I feel your pain brother! I hear we're in a low sunspot cycle right now, and for the next few years at least it's supposed to be cooler than normal. Good thing we both use solar mulch... ;)

I love solar mulch! warms the soil in spring, helps keep the heat in the ground after the sun goes down, and really helps keep some moisture in the root zone. Not to mention no weeds  :D  If i lived someplace really hot I would use the white mulch, I'm surprised more folks don't.

Had to snap a pic of the sbs purple this morning, I think she is even sexier then last years! haha

Gotta love the purple ;)

Everything looks great! You're due soon for a nice harvest

You think white plastic mulch would help here? Should be worth trying...July has been brutal, August is usually worse :shh:
Thank you sir. I think the white plastic mulch would definitely be worth trying out. I think it would help keep the root zone cooler and help keep the moisture in. If you do let us know how it works out for you. Cheers

Magnifico!

Love that plant.

I may try the white stuff next year. Black looks like it works great for you and Rick.

They also make a reflective plastic mulch that's supposed to cool the soil like the white, but at the same time it reflects the light that gets past the leaves on the first pass back up into the leaf canopy. It also has the benefit of confusing the critters that like to hang out on the underside of the leaves because they're not in shadow and they don't think there's any place to hide.
