Feather Meal...Bioavailability

Any info on feather meal, its biovailability, and how it compares to other high nitrogen soil amendments?

it is "high nitrogen", but a lot of decomposition has to occur for most of that nitrogen to become available for plant use. Probably a good slow release amendment before plant out if you are trying to stay organic.

Have you used it? Good results? I scratched it in about 6 weeks prior to plant out.
