Feedback on my plants please!

hi

I thought I would share the pics of my plants with you for feedback to see if im going wrong at all. I hope in time, to delve into the wonderful of the naga and the habanero but this year I am keeping it simple with japalenos and joes long.

Below is a pic of my jalapeno plants, the one on the left I am growing on the windowsill where you see it , the other I am trying outside. The one on the left seems a little spindly to me which is a concern so your comments will be welcomed!

Below is my cayenne joes long. This is also kept inside on the windowsill.

Haven’t had any issues so far, apart from a small amount of greenfly and since I repotted some tiny black flies (which I think have come from the compost). I am trying to only water them with rainwater and have bought some Chilli Focus.

So, comments please! Any help will be much appreciated!

Yes, pod up and then loosen the twist tie you have tieing the plant to the stake. You want some movement of the plant to cause the stem to become stronger. That and placing a fan blowing some light air onto it will help strenthen the plant up to the point that you won't need the stick anymore.

I really like that plant outside that looks like a purple spanish dagger yucca. I almost bought this huge one from Monrovia plants I saw at central market up in dallas about a month ago but it was 60 bucks :mouthonfire:

Cheers for the info guys - to be hhonest i was expecting to be told to repot - my only concern is that i just potted them up from 3 inch pots about 10 days ago. Will repotting them again distress the plants too much ?

Ah, that explains a lot.

No, don't repot, let them grow for several weeks. I think the reason your plants look a little spindly is that they were root bound and needed to be repotted. Now that they can stretch their little feet out, my guess is they'll start to get bushier.

like IGG said loosen the knot on the plant, it looks like the plant is trying to grow but the knot is holding it back by the way the stems are growing crooked towards the bottom.
I use string also but I tie a knotted loop around the main stem so the plant can move within the knotted loop I then tie the loop tightly to a stake.
