Hello Growing forum!

I have a few quick questions if anyone wouldnt mind helping..

If i grow a variety of chillies and these arnt F1 that i know of, can i use the seeds from the pod to germinate next year?

Also what determines the point that flowering occurs, is it a light cycle temp or maturity?

For flowering it's maturity, and yes, you can plant seeds for varieties that aren't F1.
