Finally Sprouting!

I finally got two sprouts out of the same coir plug the other day. I moved the two yellow hab babies out of my little plastic jail cell and under a small fluorescent lamp that I have. The light is about 3 inches above the top of the plants. This is exciting. Except I'm still waiting for the rest of my plants to grow now haha. How long should I leave the light on over them?
 
Ok, so my first two sprouts died because my mom didnt water them while i was away like i asked her to. Luckily, I got another sprout today! So lets have another go at it lol
 
Wow, picked up some new info here today! I've never left my lights on 24/7 for seedlings/any plant, I always ran a timer on them for a 12 on during day and 12 off at night. Interesting though, will have to try the 24/7 method on any new seedlings and see if it makes a difference.
