I would think that all the heat would not be there and for sure not the true flavor.

Watch out for those first to ripen, I've had a lot of first pods on multiple plants that have mold in them. After the first one it seems to be fine. Maybe it's just my haphazard growing style lol. Awesome pod shot! Nice to be able to burn off of your own pods.
