Im not sure if this is the right place for it, if the mods see this and feel it could be better suited elsewere, feel free to move, but red robin is going to be making a burger with ghost peppers!

Yey!

I, for one, is for sure going to try this :D

It is a burger afterall :)

i wish a burger place in australia / queensland would do that.

I have tried this, and for taste 9/10 for heat sadly, 2/10.

It wasnt even as hot as a habaneuro, maybe not even half that.

If you ever just want a burger, yes, great place, for heat, no :(

I went to Red Robin yesterday and ordered one of these, mainly because of this post and the sourcefed video. It was good actually -- the best burger I've ever had at Red Robin (It's not the best burger place in town). I give it a 1.5 or 2/10 at best on heat as well and I'm not among the ranks of some of you, have yet to eat a fresh super hot pod.

The waiter said "It will definitely make you sweat.". Well, I didn't sweat until I left and the hot sun was beating down on me. Will have to order with extra ghost sauce next time, it seemed to have most of the heat. Maybe I can get a side of it for the fries.

Sorry to hear its not very hot but im going to try one anyway. Ill see if they can give me extra sauce on the side to add.
Thanks for the info.

We went to Red Robin last night and I tried the Fiery Ghost burger. Have to agree with the other assessments. Heat was barely noticeable. I asked for two extra cups of sauce and used them to dip my fries in. I did like the taste of the sauce. Definitely had a ketchup base, but had a bit more vinegar flavor to it (I like a vinegary flavor, especially on fries). Got a little hint of pepper flavor, but not much. I got halfway through the burger before I gave in and put some powder on it.

Now I know I'm not supposed to get upset at this since I am a chilihead and my tolerance will be much higher than the average joe. But to advertise something as having Ghost Peppers in it and for it to barely register any heat at all, I find it very disappointing. I would expect them to at least give the sauce the heat level of a habanero.

I can echo the responses here. Tasty, but lacking in heat. Clearly, this is a marketing ploy to gain attention. The average joe might find it hot and boast to his buddies about eating it, I guess. It is a bit hotter than their five alarm and burnin love burgers. And the ketchup is nice on fries :)

I am glad I read this thread. I was contemplating going to RR and getting one of these. Now I will save myself the trip.
