seeds First time growing, worried about seedlings' health

Hey all, I've started some chilis growing and have noticed some odd stuff going on. Since I'm not sure what to make of it or what it means, I thought I'd try here for some answers. Background info: I am living in coastal Los Angeles county zone 11b, most of these seedlings were started in the clay pots they are currently in, growing in a mix of bagged potting soil with some extra vermiculite, the seeds were started in the last week of January, and sprouted throughout February. The unglazed pots have NuMex suave plants in them, the blue one is an aji omnicolor. I've been growing them under natural light mostly, setting them outside during the day and taking them in at night. They're probably getting around 6-8 hours of direct sun daily.

There's some discoloration/withering at the tips of the leaves on a lot of my plants, and the leaves seem somewhat pale overall to me. I was hoping someone could provide some insight on what would cause this and if it's a big deal or not.

The second issue happened to a few of my seedlings. The lopped over and died, and when I took them out they had this deformity on their stem. I was hoping to learn what this is called and how to prevent it in the future.

Thanks in advance for the help!

The narrow stem is due to fungus, which grows in overly moist soil.  Using less water should cure the issue.

Don't worry about the leaf tips.

Narrow stem is from "damping off". Less water

The rest are fine.

Nothing will kill a chile faster than too much grower attention. Find a book to read.
