Fish, Chinese 5-color, Vietnamese Multi-color Grow Thread

Thought I would post up a "grow thread".

From left to right, these are

- Chinese 5-color Peppers
- Vietnamese Multi-color Peppers
- Fish Peppers

I started these seeds directly in this soil on
May 16, so this is 17 days of growth.

I got a late start for my zone (5) but I really hadn't planned
on growing these. I read an article about Fish peppers in
Mother Earth News and they looked interesting, so I got on
RareSeeds.com and bought some. In the process, I saw these
other two varieties and thought "Why not?"

I plan to grow them all in containers. The most decorative
looking of the bunch will go to my office, the rest in our
landscaping.

The germination of the fish peppers wasn't so hot, but I do have
three plants to work with, at least.

Good luck with the fish peppers. I looked at a few pics and that would look make a nice ornament.

Here they are about 1 month after the last pictures.
They seem to be off to a slow start. They are only about
5-6" tall. I guess I expected them to be bigger by now.

Also, I was careless and lost track of which ones were
Vietnamese Multi-color and which were Chinese 5 Color.
They both look very similar. I believe, after looking around
on-line, that the Vietnamese one has more purple on the leaves,
but I could be wrong.
