Flower buds - when do they open?

Does anyone know how long it takes for the flower buds to open from the time they have been spotted?
I've spotted some buds about 8 days ago and they haven't opened up yet.

When they feel like it.
No but really, they may never open if they don't like their surroundings. In this case they will just fall off.
If the situation is right, a week or two from first popping out.

FYI, Superhots like metal. A little Avenged Sevenfold and they open right up.

LOL!!! Got some pretty funny responses but I will look out for them within this week. I sure hope none falls off but I know that is a possibility even though I would hate to see that.
