For Adventuring Types

I have been putting together as the year went on a pile of seeds from many, many varieties I've grown..200+ seeds easily. No IDs. All I can tell you is if you have room, plant a lot of seed, you'll have some real cool stuff. :) Lots of Pubescens, super hots, etc.

Anyone interested in doing a trade with me for this 'surprise packet'? Tempt me. Best offer wins..lol.

Chris

I thought somebody may have jumped on this. I'll tell you what can be Identified...Pubescens from non-Pubescens, and a decent guaranee the Pubescens pods will be large. :)

What are you looking to get for what you are offering cmpman? Not that I have a chance in hell, but at least someone may have an idea of what has a chance at tempting you on this. Just a round-about idea.........you know.....certain seed trades.........cash...........first-born child?

Someone really wants those seeds huh?:)

I just donated a couple oz. of seeds -Broom Chiles , to a comunity garden.

They really like not knowing what they'll get.

I guess they give a bunch of kids a section of garden or a couple plants each to take care of and they really like the suspence of watching to see what they are growing.

A tree hab or a small colorful ornamental.

As long as there are a lot of different kinds of seeds it works great.

Works out pretty good for the kids for the last few years.

Anything they can sell after the kids take stuff home goes for next years garden.
I always put some separate packs of known seeds with the mystery pack to insure they have something they can easily sell like Nu Mex chile,Ancho and Jalapenos...
That way the adults can sneak in some stuff they know will produce some sales to keep things going.
They might try selling a few plants next year.
I've been giving them enough known common stuff each year that they could easily sell a couple hundred plants on the side.
To other community gardeners and passers by.
One stop pepper gardening for some.
Buy a couple plants at the garden you grow at while supporting the garden with the $ you buy plants with from fellow gardeners.
Heck, who could resist buying a chile plant from a kid who is unknowingly growing a superhot...and will probably use the pods eventualy to torment his friends. : )

Chris likes Extra Large Manzanos/Rocotos.
Bigger and hotter the better.
Along with seeds for fabled Homer Simpsons Guatamalan insanity pepper.

Smokemaster nailed it. It's a mission of mine. There's only one here I know who had a giant one: BrianS. :) He was in Peru. I have a keen interest in South American Pubescens, but there aren't many varieties that are gigantic. I know they exist, but it's getting them that is the hard part. :)

Chris

Chris,

BrianS is one of the nicest, easy going individuals you'll ever come across. If he has something you want all you have to do is ask, I'm sure he'll do what ever he can to help you out. His in-laws live in Peru so he has access.

I found a taker for the seeds. :) Offer is closed. No big trades occurred, but that's fine. I'm happy to share the adventure pack with a member. Who knows, perhaps she will share some of it with you if need be.

Patrick, I was mainly concerned about BrianS as I tried PMing him 3 times, e-mailing, etc. with no response. I hope he's OK health wise as no response was given one way or the other. That's more important than seeds. I've seen no posts on forums from him either since returning. I'd certainly love to try the seeds if there are extras.

That does sound a bit worrisome. I know he's been working his tail off too. I'll give him a shout and see what's up.
