Found an older review I didn`t post - Trinidad Bean

I did this in December, I think. I have no idea why I didn`t post it, but it`s just been lying on the cutting room floor for months!

This is absolutely packed with great flavours. Initially, it is very sweet and fruity, without being reminiscent of any specific fruit. Of course, the expected C.chinense flavor is there in spades, too. Then there is a very specific almond-like flavour, which I`ve never come across before in any other pepper. It gives a lot of richness to the flavour and rounds things out extremely well. Surprising and surprisingly good! Another excellent aspect is the quite different texture and mouth-feel. The flesh is very soft and almost succulent, with a slightly more tough skin that provides a brilliant contrast.

The heat hits quickly and goes off like a small bomb in your mouth, but never gets to be all that hot. It fades quickly and leaves a wonderful warmth all over your mouth, leaving you wanting more. It eventually moves to the back of the throat, but doesn't do anything unpleasant once there.

This is a truly great chilli pepper and one I have to grow!
