seeds fresh seeds

Hello all I have some pods that are now ripe and wondered if i could just plant the seeds straight from the pod and if so will they germinate. I thought I could up until the point when I read this from ohio state university http://oardc.osu.edu/plantranslab/AdolescentSeeds/teachersguide.htm. I have tried a few fresh seeds in the past but with no luck. Has anyone ever got fresh seeds to germinate? and if so how how did it take? any input would greatly appreacted.

thanks

I've never tried to germinate fresh seeds; but according to the article you linked, all you have to do is let them dry for a few days to break dormancy. Or get some gibberellic acid.

I have found that something in soil causes them to germionate quite quickly. Fresh seeds do not like germinating in a soil-less mixture.
