Fried Hamburger?

I have no clue where you all come up with the idea that squishing a burger runs the taste out of it. :onfire: If you fix it in a cast iron skillet with a lid over it, that juice is sorta gonna carmalize on the burger. I love fried blood, be it from beef, pork, fish or poultry.

Oh for one of Mom's burgers. Cooked on iron over med high heat for 3-4 minutes, flip it, turn the heat off and cover. 3-4 more minutes undisturbed and the juiciest burger that is safe to eat--hopefully.

Oh geez I missed this the first time.

You guys don't know what a beefburger is? Loose meat sandwich? Place in Iowa and Nebraska called Maid-Rite that makes them. http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=1&sqi=2&ved=0CBIQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.maid-rite.com%2F&rct=j&q=loose%20meat%20sandwich%20diners&ei=S1eFTJmwJ4KKlwemqrCcDg&usg=AFQjCNGlDvtrTN-5_C3laKnwXffodWKm4g&cad=rja The standard is meat, ketchup, mustard, pickles and onions. Freaking heaven. They have a great seasoning that just rocks the meat.

That sounds yummy.

On Diners, Drives ins and Dives, I once saw one chef who puts cheese inside hamburger patties... Putting chilis inside the patty - saw that somewhere too, but can't recall where. A cheese and chili stuffed grilled hamburger patty would be excellent!
