Garden Hose Filter Question?

Does anyone know if there are any garden hose filters that remove or reduce salt levels in the water.
I noticed they all mention softening and removing chlorine in the water but not much other info.

As salts will be dissolved in the water, filters won't be much help.

There are many chemical methods to remove salts, see any water-treatment purveyor like Culligan.
