Here is the recipe for a Vodka and Tonic scanned from the page of my 'Mr. BOSTON Official Bartender's and Party Guide'.
 
Lemon, no lime.

A Vodka Twister has 2 oz Vodka, 1/3 Lime, and Lemon Soda.
A Vodka "7" has 2 oz Vodka, Juice of 1/2 Lime, Lemon-Lime Soda
Vodka Gimlet, 1 oz Lime Juice, ! tsp Powdered Sugar, 1.5 oz Vodka
 
time to "scale it up" Methow Style!!!!
 
Fill a Red Solo glass half full with ice
Fill up to the 2/3 mark with vodka
SqueeZe in 1/2 a lemon
top off with tonic, soda, OJ, or whatever else you can find in the reefer......
