I bought Giant Mexican Rocoto seeds from Judy 2 years ago. Germ rate was terrible, and the seedlings were weak. But, I did manage to get seeds from some pods on my plants, and the germ rate this year was 100%.
My plants, which I started Feb 1st, are right now 10" tall and look like they're going to take over the house.
Try planting seeds a little deeper than norm to reduce helmet heads.
