Ghost Pepper Gun

Interesting concept. But it seems to me that something like a can of bear spray would be a simpler, cheaper, and possibly more effective way to accomplish the same thing. But I guess since they can't sell a can of pepper spray for $350, they came up with this instead.

I'm also not sure why they felt the need to mention that the extract it shoots came from Ghost peppers. It's extract. What really matters is the strength (SHU) of the extract, not what specific pepper or peppers it was derived from. And they don't even mention what the strength of the extract is, or whether it has even been tested to determine it's SHU rating. But I suppose that the mere mention of Ghost peppers sounds impressive to some people.

Overall, this thing seems way overpriced and a bit gimmicky  to me.

My first thought was why not just sell CS balls for paint ball guns.  Then I saw the part about the CO2 cartridge not being pierced until you pull the trigger for the first time.  Good design improvement over the same type of paint ball guns, but still doesnt seem like a great self defense item.

^ Explains why such weapons aren't the same as just pepper spraying someone. It's like pulling the trigger on the can from wherever the paintball hits. No need to get in close at all. And I know you can get at least 3 million SHU pellets for it, even in the UK.

Found one.....

I've seen the videos of them using fully automatic capsaicin paintball guns in prisons. It's pretty intense.
