Ghost Pepper Had A Recovery

I am a little amazed at this Ghost Pepper I ended up planting in my wife's pepper patch in regular soil with only a little peat moss mixed in and 2 times with 10-10-10 and a few hours of direct sunlight. It was my runt of the litter and I thought it was dead but it bounced back and is growing the best out of the rest considering the condition it was in...... I was already told I can't have that spot next year. LOL

Not really a big deal but I find it amazing.

Peppers can do that, so you'd better get used to it. Right now I have a brain strain that was four feet tall, then it got cut back to a single twig four inches tall with no leaves. The rest of the winter was spent battling broad mites and aphids. Now the plant is two feet tall and growing very rapidly. And the best part is that this isn't even all that unusual. Peppers are some tough little guys.

Last year I saw amazing recovery after frost.  This year, amazing recovery after deer.  Not sure if this means we are really good at growing chili or really bad at it.

LOL - yeah it's pretty sad when the plants that wind up producing and looking the best are usually the ones you've given up on and stopped giving attention to, then they pop up and out perform the ones you think you are doing everything for !
